* The Antidote brings to the new MAO Live House Shanghai, a line-up of some of the best indie rock and electro that China has to offer. Beijing's top electro-rock act Pet Conspiracy is taking live music to a new level in China, with fine production, talented songwriting, and a provocative stage show. The 5-person band fronted by the glamorous Helen Feng and veteran electronic producer Hu Zi, has blown away festival crowds in Beijing, and is red hot in Europe after 2 recent tours. Don't miss this~!!!
* Support acts include Shanghai's indie rock kings Boys Climbing Ropes and post rock pretty boys Duck Fight Goose, who are ready to rock the big stage at Mao with new songs and more power!! Between and after the bands, DJ crews Antidote and Baijiu Robots build the tension, and B6 follows up to keep Mao rocking past midnight.

Formed in 2008, Pet Conspiracy has already done the holy grail of touring for Beijing bands, playing to packed-out audiences in Berlin, Cologne, Budapest, and Barcelona at world famous venues. Already returning from their 2nd European tour of 13 shows in 12 cities in 5 countries, Pet Conspiracy has become one of the few Chinese bands to tour more places abroad than at home. Led by front women Helen Feng who also fronts noisy post-dance-rock outfit Ziyo and guitarist Huzi author of some of the most popular electronic releases on Modern Sky in the last decade, Pet also counts among its alumni its former DJ, Liman. MTV Asia's talent to watch for Oct.2009, this already internationally acclaimed band will finally bring their elaborate orchestrations of barely controlled chaos and electro-cabaret to Shanghai Nov. 6th at Mao Livehouse with The Antidote.

The Antidote is a party.
The Antidote is a collective group of DJs / digital musicians / producers.
The Antidote is based in Shanghai, China.
We host a popular monthly music event in Shanghai (C's bar, free entry, last Thursday of every month) and another monthly with Live Electronic music. We also have regular monthly parties in several cities around China -- Beijing, Tianjin, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Changsha, Nanjing, etc.
In early 2005, American DJ/promoter Michael "Ozone" and Shanghai-native designer/producer B6 started a little monthly party called "The Antidote" at C's, a dirty dive bar in Shanghai. The Antidote brought a refreshing, DIY, renegade style party that blew open the Shanghai music and party scene. Since then, the crew has played around greater China, and has been featured in countless magazines, TV, radio, newspapers, and websites around the world, including BBC, Time Magazine, NPR Radio, and New York Times. The Antidote posters, designed by B6, are currently on exhibit at the Victoria Albert Museum in London. The Antidote crew now have two packed parties every month in Shanghai, plus several other cities around China, and play exciting and innovative new music that rocks dance floors and opens hearts and minds.

2005年初，来自美国的 DJ/派对推广人Michael"Ozone"和上海本土的设计师/制作人B6开始在上海进行每月一次的小型 Party，地点选在徐家汇附近一个由防空洞改造的地下酒吧C's Bar。Party的名字叫"Antidote"，原意为解毒剂。如同其名，Antidote以新鲜、独立而反叛的音乐风格，为上海的Party氛围带来了强力一剂。此后，Antidote的成员在中国各地演出，并赢得了全世界各种报刊杂志、电视、网络等媒体的争相报道，包括国际主流媒体BBC和纽约时报。而由B6设计的Antidote海报也正在英国的维多利亚艾伯特博物馆展出。目前，Antidote每月在上海举办两场火爆的Party活动，让刺激新颖的音乐引燃舞池，让渴望音乐的灵魂沸腾。
Antidote小组现由7名专职成员和10位兼职DJ组成，并特邀不同风格的音乐家参加演出。我们演出的音乐风格包括：electro, minimal, mash-ups, electro-punk, dance rock, drum and bass, synth-pop, live electronic, 8-bit, Detroit-style techno, acid house, African, Indian, Bhangra, IDM, ghetto-pop, trip hop, industrial, underground hip hop, indie rock/post-punk等等。通常我们会将自己原创的音乐放入混音中。我们不会表演主流的House或Hip Hop风格，不妥协是我们的基本原则！
Ozone – 来自圣弗朗西斯哥，自2003年以来定居上海。曾在加利福尼亚的电台和俱乐部担任DJ。现担任Antidote，PAUSE，City Sound Sessions和一些其他派对的推广人。他DJ的音乐风格是Electro-Punk，Ghetto-Pop或非洲及印度音乐。

B6 – 来自中国上海。B6是一位电子音乐家和平面设计师（所有Antidote海报都是由他设计的）。B6通常表演Live Techno和Minimal。他还是一支新晋Synth-Pop乐队IGO的成员之一（另一位是歌手/创作人JJay）。同时，他也是 Neocha.com网站的创办人之一。
